Who am I?
I spent a long time wandering before I found myself here.
I am a late blooming massage therapist and I have a fair bit of life experience that I bring to my practice. Along my journey I have picked up some really neat hobbies and some great secondary skills.
As a therapist I am passionate about the benefits of massage. I believe that a treatment does not need to be painful to have a positive impact. My practice is built on the principals of renewal. Rest is necessary for change.
Quite early in my career I realized that I love learning and education. I wanted to have a practice that aligned with the continually growing body of massage based research. I gravitated towards lymphatic drainage as a light touch therapy. Within this modality I discovered the community of breast cancer survivors and have moved my practice in this direction. Today my clinic is breast surgery focused and I welcome all, including transitioning transgender individuals.
A large part of my business revolves around education and I am proud to say that I am an educator with Mount Royal University. I graduated from MRU as a student and I was always impressed with their instructional standards. Now as an educator myself, I am pleased to be a part of the program as it grows in alignment with accredited schools in regulated provinces.
I believe strongly in volunteer work and have joined the Know Your Lemons foundation to spread the word about the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer with the goal of increasing early detection.
I read anything I can get my hands on and I am always on the lookout for a new author or rabbit hole. So please bring your suggestions.
I am a looking to learn more about gardening and hot pepper plants since I am starting on some hot sauce experiments.

I am so very excited to hear your story!
